Two Thumbs Up Thursdays

Do you know any great consumer secrets? Do you know the perfect places to shop or eat? Do you have an eye for buying just the right product? Well, we want to hear about it. Two Thumbs Up Thursdays is the perfect opportunity to share those businesses or items with the rest of the world. I am going to post every Thursday about any businesses, items, or ideas that are worthy of two thumbs up. You do the same on your blog, and post a link to your blog here. Let’s start helping each other out!

The Hannah Montana Movie
Make fun of me if you want, but I loved it. Lee and I watched it tonight in an attempt to try and fit some relaxation in during this jam packed week. It was clean, cute, and funny.

Boz
Boz is the Christian version of shows like Barnie, Dora the Explorer, etc. He is this big, green cartoon bear that teaches about God, manners, and more wonderful lessons in a way that entertains little ones. You can buy these at New Life Supplies in Columbus or any Christian book store.

Cooper's Closet
I know I used this one last week, but Saturday is the last day to shop, so get over there and buy some great second hand items. I bought Rowe's Halloween costume, a couple of shirts and a coat. I went specifically to buy the tool table set, but it was already sold when I got there. If you bought that big tool table set, you just picture my sweet, poor little Rowe playing with a fork and spoon pretending to be using tools. Shame on you!!!! Just kidding. He'll survive.

Etsy.com
This is my favorite place to shop. Just go to http://www.etsy.com/ and start shopping for any handmade and homemade items you can think of! It is great and addicting. Are there any other Etsy lovers out there?

Leave me a comment if you have your own Two Thumbs Up Thursday on your blog. Good night all!

Cooper's Closet
Cooper's Closet is a huge consignment sale that comes to Columbus each fall and spring. You can find great baby, children and maternity clothes, baby gear, games, etc. If you are expecting, a new mom, or just looking for some good deals, this sale is perfect for you. The website for more information is www.cooperscloset.com.

Below is the schedule.
Thursday August 27th - 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday, August 28th - 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 29th - 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Leap Frog's The Letter Factory
If you have a baby or toddler, this will entertain them you too. It is the best educational video I have seen. We don't watch much t.v. ever, but we all love watching this video. My favorite letters in the video are the A and the E skit. They are really funny!

Southern Family Children's Books
There is a bin in Southern Family Market in Columbus that is filled with books. There are some great children's books that are only $6.00 a piece. Rowe loves the book I got for him called "A Visit to the Farm." It came with small animal magnets that stick to the pages. He tries to read it everyday over and over again.

Well that ends this week's Two Thumbs Up Thursday. Post your comments and links please, and hope you all have a great weekend!

Southern Delights Catering and Bakery
If you are on a budget and time is always flying by, then this is a great solution to supper. There is a lady in our church that caters, and she cooks these wonderful meals for families to purchase each week. You can go to her website and see the weekly menus and deadlines to order. The food is picked up or delivered on Fridays, and it will feed at least a family of four or five. I can’t buy many of the ingredients to a home cooked meal for less than $30, so this is great for us. We eat half, and then freeze half for later. Leave me a comment or email me if you want her name and number.

An Open Door Floral & Gifts
I am a big supporter of local businesses, and there is one in New Hope that I love. An Open Door Floral & Gifts is owned by four precious, talented ladies. They can do anything from paint to make the most beautiful flower arrangements. Their store is decorated so cute, and there are some great gifts to choose from. The jewelry is super cute! I plan to buy most all of my gifts there in the future. There is also some great home décor, t-shirts, cookbooks, crosses, and the list goes on and on. I hope some of you will find this store as delightful as I do.

Hank’s BBQ
I think that is what it is called. There is this hole-in-the-wall restaurant that used to be an old bar. The owner, Hank has won numerous trophies and awards for his famous BBQ. He recently placed third at Memphis in May. I have never been a big ribs eater, until I ate Hank’s ribs. Yummo!!!! We have never gotten anything there that we didn’t like. The children’s menu is very affordable which we like.

Beach Vacation

We found out last Tuesday that were would be leaving for the beach on Thursday and were so excited. Thanks Pops and Nana. We had a blast including Rowe. His favorite part of the trip was when Lee was holding him in the ocean and the waves would come and splash them. He laughed hysterically every time. He was no too wild about the sand though. He did however like throwing it at us. It rained sporadically while we were there, but it did not put a damper on things. Rowe finally starting calling me Mama on this trip!!! HOORAY!!! He saw me come around the corner one time, and he shouted "Mama, Mama." I bent down and kissed him, and he so sweetly said, "love you." I wanted to melt right there in that store. It was precious!!!

This is the waiter that made Rowe cry. Too Funny!Rowe is giving Pops a fist pound.
We passed this car on the highway. How funny is that!!!
Rowe is running through the sprinklers at the mall.
Rowe was exhausted on the way home.
